Black & White | Week One #MyLittleCapture

We’ve been isolated for 10 days. Things can get a little lost and if I let myself I would just hang around in my pj’s for the next 3 weeks, snacking and watching Disney movies. Which I have also done with the kids.

Instead making it my new daily routine, I decided to use the isolation period to be more creative, to learn a new skill (Ruby’s learning Spanish), to do more crafts, to organise things I would normally ignore and most importantly, for my mental health… stay as creative as I can.

So, I set myself a few challenges through the week. Just simple things and kept myself shooting, even if it was yet another day in the house, at the same table, doing more crafts – I was taking pictures and documenting as much as I could. And it would seem that a lot of you are in the same boat, so I thought I would share it what I’ve been doing, so you can take part too.

Each Sunday, I’ll share a prompt on Instagram. You can interpret that any way you like and share in stories or your grid. If you tag @MyLittleWildlings/#MyLittleCapture I can share them too and see everyones work. The challenge will run each Sunday, with a new prompt, until the Saturday evening.

You can join in as often or as little as you like. You don’t need fancy equipment, I’ll be mainly using my iPhone. I’ll be sharing my editing over on instagram too! With the apps VSCO and AColourStory. Which are both free from the App Store. There are some ‘in app purchases’ should you want more than the basic tools, but that’s completely your choice.

Theres no right or wrong and you can be as creative as you like with the prompt.

Week One’s prompt is – Black & White.

My absolute favourite way to edit an image. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
