One of the best views of the castle in the whole city, there’s no way you can visit and not fall in love.

Spent the day at Holyrood Palace today, what a pla Spent the day at Holyrood Palace today, what a place!

The Abbey ruins date back to 1128 and the rooms within the palace are incredible. There’s so much history, dating back to Mary Queen of Scots, the murder of David Rizzio, even Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite rising of 1745 (hello Outlander fans).

A must visit if you are in Edinburgh, hands up if you’d love to visit? 🙌🏻

Spent a lovely afternoon at @growurban, had some lovely tea and cake and may have come home with a new plant or two. A string of pearls and a Chinese money plant 🪴

ALL the plant tips welcome 🌱 I’ve managed to kill so many over the years and 2022 is the year I’ll keep at least one alive 🙌🏻

New Years in Edinburgh has been cancelled, no torchlight procession this year. Or fireworks 🥺 it also happens to be my birthday (NYD), so I’ll be celebrating with a hot chocolate somewhere cosy 👌🏻

ad | You cannot separate whisky from Scottish cult ad | You cannot separate whisky from Scottish culture, and @johnniewalkerprincesstreet embrace every part of that. And when Johnnie Walker say experience, they mean it!

Whisky isn’t just for distinguished men with beards, who have tattoos and wear tweed, although I did take my husband with me ;)

The tour ‘Journey of Flavour’ is a fully immersive experience telling the 200 year story of Johnnie Walker and shows that there truly is a whisky for everyone. It’s not only an amazing tour but would make a brilliant gift too along with personalised bottles and other gifts in their retail space.

There’s a good old saying, Todays rain is tomorrows whisky.. and you’ll never be short of a drop or two here in Edinburgh!

Have you tried whisky before? 🥃 Slainte!

Here’s a fresh new angle of Edinburgh Castle 🏰 have you been for a visit?

A couple of things you might not have known about the Castle:

• St. Margaret’s Chapel (inside the Castle) is the oldest building in Scotland.

• In 1838 the Castle was home to an Elephant!

• It’s the most besieged place in Great Britain

• It’s got its own Dog Cemetery, which you can see from the top.

It’s a must see if you are visiting! ✨

We’ve been promised snow soon, and it’s so cold (was -4°C this morning) that I’m surprised we haven’t had any yet!

Good morning! I normally post in the evenings, w Good morning!

I normally post in the evenings, when the kids have gone to bed and the day has become quiet, but I’ve had so much on lately with the festive season upon us, and the kids diaries fill up faster than mine.
