Spent the day at Holyrood Palace today, what a pla Spent the day at Holyrood Palace today, what a place! The Abbey ruins date back to 1128 and the rooms within the palace are incredible. There’s so much history, dating back to Mary Queen of Scots, the murder of David Rizzio, even Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite rising of 1745 (hello Outlander fans). A must visit if you are in Edinburgh, hands up if you’d love to visit? 🙌🏻

Here’s a fresh new angle of Edinburgh Castle 🏰 have you been for a visit? A couple of things you might not have known about the Castle: • St. Margaret’s Chapel (inside the Castle) is the oldest building in Scotland. • In 1838 the Castle was home to an Elephant! • It’s the most besieged place in Great Britain • It’s got its own Dog Cemetery, which you can see from the top.
