20 weeks | Baby 4 – Its a…..

I had planned to keep this pregnancy up to date on the blog.  Give you a little post each week, mainly on how things were going, how I was feeling, baby progress, the usual pregnancy stuff.  But I’ve been so busy, I actually just realized today that I am already 20 weeks.

TWENTY.

Pregnancy normally drags at the start, and it feels like forever until you can share your news with the world and the 20 week scan seems a lifetime away.
Well ours came out of the blue and before I knew it, it was here!
I get nervous before a scan. I mean, I was nervouscited (thanks My Little Pony) before the others, but this baby, well I’ve grown it all on my own.  No medical help, no choosing of Grade 1 eggs, no picking the best out a batch with a team of doctors and a crazy amount of medication to keep everything right, a dozen scans and blood checks.  It was just me and this little guy.

20 weeks

Suddenly I am starting to feel like I am blooming.  People can tell I’m expecting a baby & I haven’t just had too much food and I no longer look like I haven’t lost the ‘baby fat’ after having twins.  I no longer fit into non maternity and my cravings change every few hours, which has to be the most frustrating thing, well, apart from having to wee every 15 minutes.

We wanted Ruby to feel a little special.  Like when we had the twins, so waited to announce it after we shared our news with her.
I wish I had taken a video of her reaction, the poor little thing howled like a baby for almost an hour.

Baby number 4….

We are over the moon for another girl, Ruby… not so much.  She had hoped with everything in her that she would have another little brother.

I can’t wait to share more with you & post more of our final pregnancy and family member!
You can keep up with us over on Instagram too @mylittlewildlings.

Happy Wednesday!

    Beautiful news xx

I was completely the opposite of Ruby when my Mum was pregnant for the third time. I already had one brother so was desperate for a sister. When I was woken up to be told the baby had been born I asked what it was and when told it was another boy, I told my Auntie ” I don’t care!” and promptly went back to sleep.

I find it so adorable that she was upset. Bless her. If it helps, when we had no3, my eldest wanted another brother. Wouldn’t even discuss the notion of a possible sister. We had a girl and he has been devoted to her since day one and a five year age gap is perfect.
